Marketing Coordinator role
Our Committee Marketing Coordinator helps us spread the word about Tastes of the Goulburn. As the Marketing Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our promotional efforts, ensuring our event shines.
We have a solid marketing strategy and proven plan (but there's always room for improvement and new ideas!). What are we lacking? Someone to coordinate it all, someone who can create graphics, run our social media channels and is excited to learn more about Squarespace websites, event ticketing platforms and all the other ins and outs of promoting an event.
No previous event or marketing experience is required, and you don't need to be an expert at tech, but you do need to be enthusiastic about giving it a crack. You’ll also have plenty of support from committee members with complementary skills, including career professionals in PR, marketing and copywriting industries.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Review and update the event marketing strategy and contribute new ideas.
Execute marketing activities across various platforms (online ticketing, social media, email marketing).
Create graphics, video, and written content (with plenty of support!).
Coordinate promotional content with committee members and partners.
Manage social media community engagement.
Create event day content and coordinate photographers and videographers.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Creativity and a knack for content creation.
Basic graphic design skills (or willingness to learn Canva).
Familiarity with social media platforms.
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
Fabulous event marketing, social media and PR skills
Strong relationships with local community leaders and food/beverage businesses.
A sense of purpose, meaning and impact from contributing to the local regional community.
A whole lot of memories and fun.
TIME COMMITMENT
Ideally, you will be able to make a minimum 12-month commitment to this role.
Hours are very flexible and can vary. We appreciate any help that can be provided, however, our ideal candidate will have the capacity for:
Approx. 4 hours of work per month plus attendance at monthly committee meetings of approx. 2 hours each.
Attendance and assistance on the weekend of Tastes of the Goulburn, both on Friday, 25 April and Saturday, 26 April 2025.
